ResponsibilitiesÂ
As an Environmental Intern at Mortenson, you will assist with supporting Mortenson’s environmental management efforts by providing review of environmental documentation and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. You will work at our Denver, CO office and support the environmental team.Â
Â
Highlights of your time with this Mortenson internship will include:Â
Support project management team in developing and executing site specific environmental plans and activitiesÂ
Participate in and contribute to project planning and environmental risk analysisÂ
Assist with implementation of policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental regulationsÂ
Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental managementÂ
Document and report environnemental violations, non-compliance conditions, etc.Â

Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental science, biology, or other related degreeÂ
Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
Have previous related internship experienceÂ
Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate juniorÂ
Have a basic understanding of construction and generally accepted business practicesÂ
Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadershipÂ
Showcase a positive and professional attitude and solid customer service skillsÂ
Are detail-oriented, organized, and can effectively handle multiple competing prioritiesÂ

The hourly wage for college Interns starts at $18. Students may be paid higher wages based on their year in school.Â
