The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is looking for an Executive Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings sound judgment, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit to their work. 

In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to the Chief Development Officer and help support the Development Division’s day-to-day operations. You’ll coordinate a complex calendar, prepare leaders for meetings, communicate with donors and community partners, support the Museum’s Board, assist with special events and projects, and help ensure priorities move forward smoothly.

Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $32-$35/hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Directly supports Chief Development Officer in the Development Division. 
  • Manages CDO calendar, scheduling, and travel: enters appointments, sets-up and tracks meetings, and provides relevant prep materials and appropriate follow-up.
  • Collaborates with Business Support Team to plan and direct all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the division.
  • Manages multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and meets relevant deadlines. 
  • Maintains and fosters external relationships with donors and community leaders.
  • Serves as board liaison with communication and assisting needs between Senior Leadership Team, Chief Development Officer, and Board.
  • At the discretion of CDO, provides a range of assistance to team members to support donor engagement, trainings, information dissemination, including presentation preparation, research, and writing.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience as an executive assistant.
  • 5 years’ experience writing, copy editing, formatting, drafting agendas, correspondence, presentations, reports, and other written documents. 
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
