What You'll Do:
  • Helps students develop interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities through group interaction collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Plans, organizes, and produces student demonstrations of learning created in the Smart Lab throughout the school year.
  • Supports students and staff with library checkout.
  • Monitors, supervises, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students; reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
  • Observes, evaluates, reports, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to Smart Lab curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements; communicates to students clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects; instructs students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style.
  • Supports teachers with Project-Based Learning units.
  • Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral and academic problems and coordinate instructional efforts.
 
What You’ll Need:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's or relevant work experience.
  • Two (2) years experience managing a highly-individualized classroom.
  • Experience with library systems and STEAM learning.
  • Current Colorado Department of Education Teachers License with endorsement technology preferred.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. 
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.  
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
