Description

As the Inventory and Distribution Manager at Gills Point S Tire & Auto, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain operations of all Gills locations. This role involves managing logistics and delivery processes, maintaining optimal inventory levels at each location, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the procurement team for replenishment orders. 


The Inventory and Distribution Manager will be a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record in inventory management and logistics. This role will work collaboratively with the procurement team to ensure alignment to Gills purchasing and procurement strategies and objectives.


The role will require strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. The Inventory and Distribution Manager will develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes for the Gills network of service center locations and warehouses. 


Duties

- Construct inventory management and logistics processes to scale for Gills enterprise

- Establish, document, and communicate SOPs for inventory management protocols 

- Coordinate with site-level staff to oversee inventory handling, storage, and shipping processes

- Develop logistics operations strategies, including transportation, distribution, and delivery processes to optimize route profitability

- Evaluate potential for a B2B wholesale channel with data-supported market research and analysis

- Execute service center-level replenishment following established min/max strategy

- Monitor and manage inventory levels at each service center and warehouse, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations

- Collaborate with the procurement team to place and adjust replenishment orders based on inventory levels and demand forecasts

- Analyze inventory trends and forecast future needs to support timely replenishment orders

- Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and that inventory levels are accurate for online listings

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Proficiency in data analysis tools, Excel, and internal software systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Results-driven with a focus on cost-efficiency and process improvement

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Willingness to travel to Gills locations nationally

- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse and wholesale operations, and logistics best practices
