IT Procurement & Sourcing Specialist

Overview

Location: Denver, CO (supporting Denver and Dallas offices)Type: Permanent Full-Time, Salary – Hybrid (mostly in office / up to one day work from home)

This is a full-time, full-cycle IT procurement execution role with responsibility for IT product sourcing and day-to-day IT vendor relationship support. The role supports BNC’s engineering teams by sourcing, quoting, ordering, and tracking hardware and software purchases, including complex configurations, licensing, and warranties. The position works with approved vendors to identify suitable solutions, evaluate alternatives, and maintain effective vendor communication, while operating within established vendor strategies and pricing frameworks.

The role contributes sourcing recommendations, supports the rollout of new or updated offerings, and helps ensure vendors remain aligned with BNC’s technical standards, pricing expectations, and delivery requirements. This role requires curiosity, common sense, and sound judgment, as not all scenarios can be fully documented in procurement protocols. Vendor offerings, pricing, and processes evolve regularly, requiring adaptability and thoughtful decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with engineering teams to procure appropriate hardware and software solutions for clients, including complex configurations, licensing, and warranties.
• Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and adaptability when situations fall outside documented procedures in a fast paced, evolving vendor environmen
• Support sourcing efforts by identifying options and recommending alternatives when availability, pricing, or requirements change.
• Establish, maintain, and support ongoing vendor relationships to ensure effective communication, competitive pricing, and a smooth purchasing process, while escalating strategic or contractual decisions as appropriate.
• Manage end to end ordering and tracking of all hardware and software purchases, continuously improving procurement processes for efficiency, accuracy, and vendor responsiveness.
• Coordinate closely with the finance team on invoices, payments, and other procurement related financial activities.
• Partner with the Service Delivery Coordinator to support scheduling and execution of projects involving hardware and software purchases.
• Assist with internal enablement by supporting the rollout of new or updated vendor offerings, including basic training, documentation, and coordination with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Be comfortable working directly with vendors and supporting sourcing discussions in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
• Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and adaptability when situations fall outside documented procedures in a fast-paced, evolving vendor environment.
• Be knowledgeable about hardware and associated software licensing.
• Be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
• Have excellent proactive communication skills.

• Own and effectively troubleshoot and resolve all procurement issues.

Must-Haves

• Minimum 5 years in a IT-based procurement role
• Minimum 2 years of experience selling or supporting technology solutions
• Strong working knowledge of IT hardware and software
• Experience with or conceptual understanding of finance software tools such as Quickbooks
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Nice-to-Haves

• Strong relationships with IT vendors in various fields.
• Experience with ConnectWise Sell platform.
• Familiarity with various hardware and software solutions in the IT field.

• Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per year, based upon relevant experience
