Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Janitor to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization in both commercial and medical building settings. The Janitor will ensure that our facility remains a welcoming and sanitary space for building occupants and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms. Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons. Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines. Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered. Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary. Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team. QualificationsQualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards. Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required. Health Screenings & Other Requirements (if applicable) Background checks will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
