Job DetailsJob Location: Denver CO - Denver, CO 80204Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $40.00 - $45.00 HourlyKenny Electric, established in 1974, is a leading Industrial and Commercial electrical contractor with a diverse portfolio of project work.  We operate under a set of core values: integrity, trust, quality, family, and community.  We are looking for driven and organized individuals who share the same pride and enthusiasm for the industry as we do.    Purpose:  The Low Voltage Foreman’s primary responsibility involves overseeing, guiding, and supervising the project crew to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets the satisfaction of our customers.   Essential Duties include the following: Manages and leads crews on projects within BAS discipline Oversees a team of up to three (3) Journeymen and manages a workforce ranging from 5 to 15 employees Plans and details projects thoroughly before starting, including layout and installation of electrical components based on specifications and codes; coordinates site MOPs (Methods of Procedure) Assists with material procurement, including organizing and tracking purchase orders Develops project schedules and provides trade milestones to relevant staff; communicates with crew and project leadership to ensure coordination and satisfactory progress Keeps Project Manager informed of any project changes or delays; develops an understanding of project financials and assists the Project Manager as needed Studies and evaluates blueprints spec books, and tracks changes and as-builts Reviews and ensures project work’s compliance with current NEC codes throughout project lifecycle Coordinates with QA/QC on labeling and equipment turnovers Collaborates with BIM Specialist on project needs Tracks change orders and accounts for tasking and reporting Completes daily project documentation Inspects electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs while ensuring compliance with local codes Schedules project inspections as required Assists with project closeout process Mentors and trains direct reports, evaluates and identifies future field leaders; ensures crew upholds Company policies and holds them accountable for performance Completes required employee evaluations and provides timely feedback Performs other assigned duties as needed Qualifications  Qualifications/Requirements: Current Journeyman or Master Electrician with a Colorado license Prior Foreman experience in BAS space 3-4 years of experience in Building Automation Controls Advanced BAS installation and knowledge such as VFDs, Mechanical Rooms, Cooling Towers, Generators, Gas Systems, Med-gas, etc. Ability to teach and explain BAS Installation Standards to BAS Technicians Ability to run two or more crews on large and/or small projects and supervise, evaluate, and develop Lead Journeymen, Journeymen, and Apprentices Extensive experience in wiring systems, all phases of project installation, electrical control work, troubleshooting, and purchasing of electrical material and parts Knowledge of current NEC and industry-related practices, including area classifications Ability to manage and understand project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager Excellent verbal and written communication skills, assertive problem-solving ability, and adherence to professional conduct in addressing issues with appropriate parties Holds OSHA 30 Certification and current First Aid/CPR Certification Preferred knowledge of P&ID and control schematics   Physical Requirements: Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered) Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, or other safe work areas Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pounds from the ground to overhead Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead Possess good vision (normal or corrected) Must be able to get to various customer sites as required Work Environment: Able to work in all elements, depending on job locations and time of year   The above statements are intended to reflect the principal duties of the position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
