What you will do:

 

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for the governance, integrity, setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of master data across multiple business systems, including SAP, FastWeigh, BCMI, and Stonemont. This role serves as the central point of coordination for creating, updating, validating, and governing critical master data elements such as customers, vendors, materials, products, mix designs, pricing structures, tax classifications, and operational configurations.

 

The position works closely with Operations, Accounting, Sales, Quality Control, Dispatch, Tax, Credit, and Information Technology teams to ensure accurate and consistent data across all platforms. The Master Data Specialist plays a critical role in supporting business operations, system integrations, acquisitions, new site implementations, and ongoing business growth initiatives.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for master data governance across SAP, FastWeigh, BCMI, and Stonemont, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Establish and maintain standards, processes, and controls for creating, updating, validating, and retiring master data.
  • Manage setup and maintenance of customers, vendors, materials, aggregates, mix designs, product codes, pricing, tax classifications, haulers, and operational data.
  • Support new plant, terminal, and acquisition integrations through master data configuration, validation, and system setup.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Accounting, Quality Control, Dispatch, Tax, Credit, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into accurate system configurations.
  • Monitor data quality, perform audits, and resolve discrepancies, duplicates, and integration issues across systems.
  • Develop reports and metrics to measure data quality, compliance, and process effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Assist with testing, documentation, and system integration projects to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to users on master data processes, governance standards, and system functionality.

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management, ERP administration, business systems support, or a related field.
  • Experience within construction materials, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, cement, asphalt, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-system environments with integrated business processes.

Technical Skills

Preferred experience with one or more of the following:

  • SAP
  • FastWeigh
  • BCMI
  • Stonemont
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced)
  • Power BI or other reporting tools
  • Data analysis and validation tools
