Position Summary
We're seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team. In this role, you'll help create a positive patient experience while supporting efficient clinic operations and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and update patient records.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care.
  • Support patients before and after procedures, including patient transfers as needed.
  • Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician direction and supervision.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, check in patients, and obtain required forms and consents.
  • Manage follow-up scheduling and help optimize provider schedules and appointment availability.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and maintain properly stocked exam rooms.
  • Document patient information accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable healthcare and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
Preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or specialty healthcare setting.
