Objective of the Position:
The production administrative supervisor is responsible for providing administrative support to the Production Department, the production of baked goods, product quality, completion of production order, GMP and HACCP compliance housekeeping, and warehousing. They are also responsible for the applicable production associates on their assigned shift. They monitor all production lines in accordance to the schedule, manpower, Quality Assurance, FDA guidelines and safety requirements. Serves as Vacation Relief for Production Supervisors as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate operational schedules, reports, and documentation
- Provide administrative assistance to operational managers and teams
- Maintain and update records, databases, and systems relevant to operations
- Report, track, and monitor plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Track and monitor training matrix
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in GB Safety Platform to include monitoring and extracting data
- Create daily, weekly and monthly reports related to operations, shipping, maintenance, and safety
- Partner with finance on various inputs/reporting for accurate accounting and budgeting
- Approve and manage timecards
- Manage waste stream to include third party waste contract
- Manage, post and monitor union job bids
- Inventory management of raw materials and finished goods to include tracking, end of week or month counting, and reporting.
- Vendor management and supply ordering
- Assures that all recipes, bills of material, labels, tools and equipment are ready prior to production start
- Inspects production lines regularly to ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed
- Makes certain that production areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards
- Takes disciplinary measures when an employee fails to comply with company regulations
- Ensures that at the end of the shift all documentation pertinent to production: materials, associate hours, and counts are accurate. Completes all required information tracking and data collection
- Educates supervisors in computer usage, pro-active response to down time and rapid shift and product changeovers
- Resolves quality problems with QA participation immediately
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or related field preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 years of supervisory experience in production, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing is required
- AIB certification a plus
- Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a team oriented environment
- Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision - position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive change
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual - English/Spanish is preferred
- Good communications skills, hardworking, dependable, safety conscious and bilingual
- Knowledgeable of USDA and OSHA regulations
- Must be able to work standing or walking for long periods of time, bending and squatting occasionally, work in a fast-paced environment, and work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions
