We’re looking for a Production Supervisor (Working Team Leader) who takes ownership of their area, leads by example, and helps turn daily work into long-term improvement. This role balances hands-on production, people leadership, and lean thinking—all while upholding Sashco’s standards for safety, quality, and respect.   What You’ll Do Own Your Area Take full ownership of the appearance, performance, and functionality of your work center. Ensure production starts on time with the right materials, staffing, and priorities in place. Spend at least 25% of your time working alongside your team in production roles. Drive Performance & Metrics Track, update, and communicate daily performance metrics including safety, quality, output, efficiency, 5S, and training. Lead daily team meetings and Gemba walks at the metrics board to review: Yesterday’s performance Today’s plan Safety, 5S, and continuous improvement ideas Identify gaps, develop corrective actions, and follow through to results. Improve the Process (Lean Thinking) Lead and sustain Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain and update visual systems such as Kanban, production schedules, and performance boards. Use Value Stream Mapping insights to drive process improvements. Ensure clean, complete shift handoffs (SHINE, daily handoff, metrics updates). Coach, Train & Develop People Train, mentor, and coach operators to meet and exceed Sashco standards. Support performance reviews, attendance tracking, and corrective actions in partnership with Manufacturing Leadership. Foster a respectful, accountable environment that inspires people to grow. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of operators. Collaborate & Communicate Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and other support teams to resolve issues. Communicate labor needs, shortages, or excess staffing clearly and early. Escalate issues appropriately and professionally when standards aren’t being met. Comfort working hands-on in production while leading others. Strong communication, coaching, and accountability skills. Ability to work in and around chemicals (including latex, biocides, enzymes, and fungicides). Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Bonus points if you have: Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement leadership. Experience tracking and using performance metrics to drive action. Familiarity with chemical or regulated manufacturing environments.
