With direction from the Site Director, the ASD will work cooperatively with Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations of the Aviation Security Officer guard force. Responsibilities: Working closely with teammates; monitors and directs the application of the security functions specified in the contract  Have some knowledge of TSA regulations and apply as appropriate in daily responsibilities Station staffing, development of scheduling procedures, initial badging and in some cases, licensing are items under this position Manage the staffing to meet contract requirements inclusive of attendance, performance, and corrective actions in accordance with Human Resource policies Coordinate with HR, Talent acquisition and Finance as needed Administer payroll reporting within the established guidelines and deadlines Sound decision making considering contract, regulation, employee relations, cost, and financial considerations Reviewing and implementing station compliance relating to reporting procedures; administer procedural changes and ensure they are communicated effectively and efficiently with staff. Conduct briefings and occasional staff meetings. Working with the station administrator and coordinate with the Training and Compliance department on all training (initial and recurrent) of station personnel. Safeguarding company equipment and vehicles Recognize the importance of Customer service Take direction from the Site Director and implement policies Be responsive to the client Qualifications 3 years experience in aviation/security management or a closely related field 2 years experience in Part 1542 regulated airport AAAE ACE designation required within two years of employment AAAE CM is preferred but not required Detailed experience in managing people and processes Knowledge of airports and airlines is required A proactive thinker with an outgoing personality who can use that personality speaking to groups and leading staff. Bachelor's Degree in aviation management, security management, or a closely related field preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must have intrapersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at various social levels across many diverse cultures Willing and able to participate in a drug test (either pre-employment or random) with negative results Pass a 10-year verifiable background check (employment, education, criminal and personal references) Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport issued identification badge distributed by local the airport authority and (potentially obtain a US Custom’s seal). Successfully pass all training provided by the Company and the Airport Experienced in general office computers and equipment applications Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook with experience working in various applications A.C.E certification preferred Language Skills: English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking) Why Join Us?
