We are seeking a PRN Security Guard to join our team!


Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Denver, located in Thornton, CO, is a 54 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties to ensure the security of patients, visitors, staff and hospital assets. Documents security exposures and notifies appropriate personal of unusual activity inside or outside the hospital. Interacts with patients and family members following the hospital’s channels of clinical, security, and administrative communication.

 

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • One (1) year of previous security service experience, military experience, or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Previous healthcare security experience is also strongly preferred.
  • Ability to de-escalate confrontations.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
