As the Senior Manager, Government Affairs, you'll partner closely with the Vice President of External Affairs to shape legislative strategy, represent the Chamber with elected officials and business leaders, facilitate policy discussions and help guide initiatives that influence Colorado's economic future.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor within the Government Affairs team.

What You'll Own


Legislative Strategy & Policy Advocacy

Partner with Chamber leadership to develop legislative priorities, analyze public policy issues and advocate for solutions that strengthen Colorado's business community.


Coalition Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Build trusted relationships with business leaders, elected officials, community organizations and strategic partners while facilitating collaboration around shared policy goals.


Committee Leadership & Member Engagement

Lead policy committees, member forums and stakeholder discussions that educate, engage and activate Chamber members.


Strategic Initiatives & Organizational Impact

Drive complex projects that strengthen the Chamber's advocacy efforts, member experience and long-term organizational impact.


Operational Excellence & Department Partnership

Partner with the Vice President of External Affairs to strengthen departmental operations while mentoring teammates, supporting key initiatives and helping ensure the team delivers exceptional results.


What You'll Bring

We're looking for a collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of business, public policy and relationship building.


Successful candidates will bring:

  • Experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative affairs, advocacy or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative process and public policy development. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence through collaboration. 
  • Experience facilitating committees, coalitions or cross-functional initiatives. 
  • Exceptional organization, judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for serving Colorado's business community.

Compensation


$90,000-$120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, it serves as a mentor, thought partner and subject matter expert within the Government Affairs team. This role provides guidance, coaching and project leadership to team members while influencing outcomes through collaboration, expertise and relationship building.
