Summer Intern - Software Engineer
Level: Undergraduate (Junior/Senior) or Graduate (MS/MBA) Â
Location: Denver, CO – Hybrid (3 days on-site per week)Â
Duration: June 1 – August 3–10, 2026 | 9–10 weeksÂ
Compensation: Paid – $20/hourÂ
ABOUT THE ROLEÂ
This is a hands-on software engineering internship designed to give you real ownership from day one. You'll partner closely with your manager to identify and define a meaningful technical problem, then take the lead in building a solution from the ground up. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working autonomously, embraces challenges, and can translate ideas into functional products. A core part of this role is leveraging AI-assisted development—using coding agents and modern AI workflows as integral tools throughout the development process.Â
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ONÂ
You will collaborate with your manager to scope a high-impact project and own it end-to-end—from problem definition and system design through implementation and delivery. Your work will focus on building a functional application or tool using cutting-edge, AI-powered development practices. Along the way, you'll refine your own approach to working effectively with coding agents and document your learnings.Â
Â
WHAT YOU'LL DELIVERÂ
By the end of the internship, you will deliver:Â
-
A working product that addresses a real-world problemÂ
-
An executive-ready presentation outlining your approach, methodology, and key insights for leadershipÂ
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSÂ
-
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior undergraduate, or a Graduate (MS or MBA) student in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Â
-
Demonstrated experience building AI applications — whether through coursework, personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior internships.Â
-
Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.Â
-
Experience working with LLM/GenAI platforms (e.g., OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, RAG pipelines, or prompt engineering).Â
-
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data tools including SQL and data pipeline or dashboard tooling.Â
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.Â
-
Self-starter with the ability to move fast, iterate, and learn from ambiguous, real-world data problems.Â
