How You’ll Make a Difference

We are seeing a reliable and hardworking Drafter to join our growing team.  This role is responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks to support engineering, manufacturing, and product development. This role translates engineering concepts and specifications into accurate technical drawings while ensuring compliance with company standards, manufacturing requirements, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.
  • Convert conceptual sketches, engineering notes, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings.
  • Revise and update drawings based on engineering feedback and design changes.
  • Ensure drawings meet company drafting standards and manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage drawing revisions, file organization, and version control.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Support product development by assisting with prototypes and design iterations.
  • Maintain documentation including BOMs (Bills of Materials), part lists, and drawing packages.
  • Assist with improving drafting workflows and CAD standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with sheet metal, weldments, or mechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes.
  • Experience managing revision control and engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of PDM systems (SolidWorks PDM or similar).
  • Experience working in a product development or manufacturing environment.
  • SolidWorks CAD modeling

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods
  • Occasional review of prototypes or manufacturing components.
