RMHS provides great benefits such as: Employer paid medical options, dental, and vision benefits Generous paid time off such as vacation, sick, personal, and holidays Life and disability insurance Tuition reimbursement (full-time employees only) Mileage reimbursement 403(B) with company match Employee assistance program Position Purpose The START Therapeutic Coach provides support to persons with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental or behavioral health needs and their family/primary caregivers who are temporarily accessing crisis or planned therapeutic services with START. The START Therapeutic Coach also implements therapeutic interventions for individuals served in the START program, supports caregivers in implementing the intervention plan and works with the clinical team to provide observational feedback about the individuals needs and progress.   Essential Duties Implement person-centered therapeutic interventions within an individuals home and support primary caregivers with also implementing these interventions. Conduct observational assessments and provide feedback to START team about biopsychosocial factors influencing current functioning, effects of interventions, and coaching outcomes. Offer consultation and hands-on education with entire family/support system to create a safe, nurturing, and meaningful home environment Assists individuals with daily activities, personal care, behavioral health needs, and health, wellness and leisure activities. Maintain professional boundaries with individuals and families receiving services and follow ethical and licensing guidelines. Participates in development and implementation of persons cross system crisis prevention and intervention plan. Plans, structures and prompts social and leisure time activities, including activities that build skills for positive supports, stress reduction, health and wellness, communication, adaptive living and daily living. Serves as a positive representative for the START Program with other professionals, families and the community. Maintains timely documentation, progress notes, and other data, including incident and accident reports. Responds to individual safety needs, including reporting significant changes in behavior and health. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to interact effectively with people with IDD and behavioral health needs. Ability to communicate effectively in the context of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to represent the mission of RMHS effectively in the community and workplace. Time management and organizational skills. Verbal and written communication skills Comfortable utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to position, including HIPAA, professional standards, documentation, ethics, etc. Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional demeanor Cultural humility and responsiveness Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or other human service-related field Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs Preferred Qualifications Bilingual Spanish/English Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Works with clients, families and appropriate community agencies as necessary to facilitate services for staff, stakeholders or clients. Attends in-services, staffing and other meetings with supervisors approval. May be appointed to committees. Participates in agency and community planning and education. Develops and maintains records, plans and reports. Lift and/or carry 20 lbs. Sit, stand and walk for reasonable periods of time. Maintains prompt and regular attendance. Performs related work as assigned. Ability to drive personal or company vehicle Driving Requirements Valid drivers license Proof of motor vehicle insurance Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work No major violations in the past three years.
