Primary Job Duties
This Full-Time role serves as part of a support office team, and as a Training Coordinator in our Pilot Training Department, you will work in a logistical environment full of variety and time-sensitive deadlines that require critical thinking and multi-tasking skills. The result is a rewarding opportunity to schedule and support instructors and the pilot new hires for their routine training process, while learning many different facets of the SkyWest operation.Â

Training Coordinators are responsible for arranging all aspects of the training phases of our pilots.  This process is complex, and your knowledge will build as different areas are introduced and assigned.Â
- Multiple Software platforms/windows are open and used throughout the dayÂ
- Build schedules for trackingÂ
- ClassroomÂ
- Training DevicesÂ
- SimulatorsÂ
- Track progress and reschedule classes/students/sessions as neededÂ
- Verify instructor qualifications for scheduled sessionsÂ
- Make necessary travel/lodging arrangementsÂ
- Schedule, coordinate, and pre-assign other training related assignments as necessary.Â
- Maintain excellent communication with Instructors, Pilot Records, Flight Operations Managers and Supervisors.Â
- Maintain knowledge of all department, company, and FAA policiesÂ
- Maintain reports as necessary in Excel and other programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and TeamsÂ
- Strong data entry and computer skillsÂ
- Exceptional customer service skills, written and verbalÂ
- Collaborate and communicate effectivelyÂ
- Some flexibility in schedule to assist and work overtime to meet deadlinesÂ
- Work multiple tasks while maintaining focus and detailÂ
- Self-starter and motivated team playerÂ
- Critical thinking skills for adapting to changing environments and processesÂ
- Maintain a productive work environment, remaining courteous and professional at all times
Physical and Other Requirements
- Full-Time Schedule is Monday - Friday, and an eight hour shift will be scheduled between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM in accordance with operational needs, and the position may require working holidays Â
- This is not a remote position. This position is located at our training facility in Denver, CO, and candidates must reside near, or relocate to, the Denver metro areaÂ
- Moderate noise function (business office with computers, printers, light traffic, and group cubicle setting)Â
- Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer and on the phoneÂ
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipÂ
- Position is not a Department of Transportation Safety Sensitive positionÂ
- Pay rate meets minimum wage requirements for the City of DenverÂ
