CACI is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Federal Protective Service (FPS) located in Denver, CO. Responsible for the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of networks for a federal government customer's distributed enterprise network environment supporting voice, data, and video services. Establish networking environment by managing system configuration, installing systems, documenting system architecture, and adhering to network standards. Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Configure, install, troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN), LAN, and WAN. Provide recommended patching and upgrades ensuring mitigation of non-compliant and vulnerable hardware and software. Analyze user’s Information Technology (IT) requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures. Validate system requirements and provide recommendations. Advise senior level customers on network architecture and optimization. Support end-user deployments via Group Policy Objects (GPOs). Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining an enterprise network environment including Cisco routers, Cisco & Dell switches (Multi-Layer, Data Center/ Access/Core/ Distribution), Palo Alto firewalls and Software Defined Access (SDA). Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IP/Ports and Protocols Listings, and Network Diagrams. Conduct testing of network systems, maximize network performance by monitoring performance; responding to and troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; conducting equipment refreshes; collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, assess network performance, and trace data and protocol activity. Track all work activities in Service Now. Qualifications include ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD), BA/BS + 8 years of experience or 14 years without degree, certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CCNP, experience with physical and logical network infrastructure installation or deployment/refresh projects, configuration changes on switches, routers, and firewalls, systems and network monitoring tools, gathering technical and business customer requirements, strong networking background, ability to work independently and as part of a team, clear communication with senior customers, experience with network Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Operational Excellence, and Cost Optimization, implementation of Network KPIs and Dashboards, experience with Software Defined Networks, and Windows Server administration. Desired qualifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, implementation of New Generation Firewalls, experience with Cisco DNA-C, Windows Domain and Active Directory environments, previous DHS or DoD experience, and cloud network or architecture experience (e.g., Nutanix, AWS, Azure, Google).
