SUMMARYĀ Ā
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager (a shared Quality Manager for Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City) with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions.Ā Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Quality Manager will lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the quality system on medium to large projects. Also, ensure necessary corrective and preventative actions are taken.Ā

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ
Lead Mortensonās quality system on medium to large projectsĀ
Implement Quality Management Plan from start to final acceptanceĀ
Establish and lead quality control initiatives and corrective actionsĀ
Review project plans for quality requirementsĀ
Manage Quality Events, punch list, and Non-Conformance NoticesĀ
Resolve issues with/without guidance from Project Manager or SuperintendentĀ
Oversee third-party design and testing agenciesĀ
Manage subcontracts and suppliers, including quality program reviewsĀ
Coach and mentor Field and Project Engineers, manage career developmentĀ
Ā
QUALIFICATIONSĀ
Bachelorās degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent fieldĀ Ā
Minimum three yearsā experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry with experience leading a projectās quality systemĀ
Strong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple project tasksĀ
Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesĀ
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera UnifierĀ
Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsĀ
Knowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortensonās Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.Ā
Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in placeĀ
Completed training in basic project management and supervisionĀ
Current driverās licenseĀ
Willingness to travel more than 50% (time split between Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City)

The base pay range for this role is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL ā 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR ā 10%, Washington, D.C. ā 12.5%).Ā

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individualās knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Ā This position is eligible for Mortensonās incentive plan.Ā
