Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Associate Level Hydrogeologist for our Denver, CO (Broadway) office. The primary focus of this position is to take a technical lead role in support of our regional and international natural resource and industrial clients. The individual will engage complex projects related to saturated and unsaturated flow through geologic formations and managed material media.


The successful candidate will evaluate geochemical characteristics of subsurface flow and assist in the management or mitigation of impacted groundwaters.  The individual will provide guidance, support and mentorship to the existing geoscience team throughout our international mining business line support of projects.  This position interacts throughout the global organization internally and externally with client and members of business and professional organizations. Travel may be required and some projects require visiting remote sites.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deep expertise in groundwater and geotechnical evaluations critical to dams, mining, environmental, and water‑resource programs.
  • Proven ability to lead complex modeling efforts using Leapfrog, PHT3D, Hydrus, FEFLOW, and related tools.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative working relationships with cross‑disciplinary teams. 
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multi‑office project teams.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
