UMB Bartender

This role will accept applications until March 9th or after till filled.

Internal candidates will be interviewed prior to considering external. $19.37 hr

Responsibilities

The PT seasonal UMB Bartender position provides exceptional guest service for a VIP all inclusive area while working collectively and cooperatively in the Premium Service Department.

• Responsible for all Nuggets and Avalanche games in the all inclusive UMB space.

. Provide exceptional guest service to our team members and guests
• Responsible for high volume, rapid pace, timely, efficient, accurate service of beverage orders.
• Mix and serve alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes while maintaining liquor controls in accordance with company policy. Advance cocktail creation knowledge with 2 specials for each event and holiday beverages
• Set-up, on-going maintenance and clean-up of workstation.
• Bartenders will be accountable for compliance with all established product handling and inventory policy and procedures.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly following established TEAMS training along with the Legends Alcohol Awareness Policy. (must be TEAMS certified)
• Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties including counts
• Set up and maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Must be knowledgeable of other food, beverage and retail outlets within the stadium.

Bartender does all their own well setup and close and helps others.

May need to support other bars on occasion during service.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to interact positively with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a very high paced fast paced, team orientated setting.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English Language fluently in order to communicate with guests.
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, switch out a keg.
• Ability to work Nuggets and Avalanche(please see schedule online) primarily: extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays including dates Christmas day, NYE, NYD, MLK weekend, etc.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks for extended period of time, including standing for shift, constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling, loading coolers, filling ice bins.

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
• Must have verifiable two (2) to three (3) years working in a fast paced, high-volume bar, high-end club, or restaurant and the ability to create custom cocktails.

Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.

This position is based on events scheduled at Ball Arena and is considered part time seasonal, need to be available for majority of AVS and Nuggets games.
