- Salary Range: New hires will be set at $21.787 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $21.787 to $26.123 per hour. For detailed compensation information, view the Para Salary Schedule. The salary listed reflects the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1. If any updates or adjustments are made once the new salary schedule is finalized, all impacted individuals will receive the updated salary.Â

What You'll Do:
- Prepares and sets-up educational materials.
- Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, which may include computer-based instruction, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.
- Assists individuals and small student groups and reinforces learning concepts presented by teachers.
- Assists with field trips, parent meetings (including child care), and other classroom activities.
- Provides student performance evaluation and planning assistance, providing feedback to the student and teacher.
- Communicates and coordinates with educational staff, students, and parents about routine education issues.
- Supervises students at assigned sites and reinforces positive student behaviors and student related administration policies and rules.
- Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and educational staff.Â
- Assists with child’s basic needs (e.g., dressing, personal hygiene)Â
