Buffalo Solar is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial rooftop solar projects executed by subcontractors. This role owns project delivery from handoff through closeout and serves as the primary decision-maker for execution-related issues.
This is a hands-on, in-person role requiring strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort managing subcontractors, schedules, and field issues.
Responsibilities
- Own project scope, schedule, and budget
- Direct Installation Supervisors and subcontractors
- Resolve field, material, and schedule issues
- Oversee procurement sequencing and substitutions
- Manage change orders and execution risks
- Serve as primary delivery contact for clients
- Coordinate inspections, commissioning support, and closeout
- Track project performance and billing milestones
Qualifications
- Experience managing commercial construction or solar projects
- Strong subcontractor coordination experience
- Comfortable making decisions under pressure
- Clear communicator with field and client experience
- Willing to work in person and visit job sites
