Customer Service Manager

Up to $120K, depends on experience


When you work with Clarke Vehicare, you are working with an industry leader.  Our Vehicare team is currently looking for a Customer Service Manager who oversees the fleet maintenance program for our customer. We are located onsite at TOPS Markets Distribution Center where this individual will be responsible to direct diesel technicians, keep up our high level of commitment to our customer service performance and maintain safety at the branch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Directs and coordinates customer service activities to serve a dedicated fleet
  • Strong communication skills with customer, team, and management
  • Overseeing the scheduling of work in the shop
  • Overseeing the closing of repair orders ensuring truck availability remains high to customer
  • Overseeing all the shipping & receiving activities
  • Branch inventory control
  • All branch Human Resources activities
  • Weekly Client performance review meeting and handling of Customer complaints/requests timely
  • Maintaining client-based reports on client dedicated system
  • Responsible for the building and grounds
  • Managing monthly workload and repairs to meet client budget
  • Strong Business acumen 
  • Manager fleet compliance using internal fleet management software
  • Responsible for maintaining continual improvement in operations (6s shop, detailed 6S mobile service trucks, technician electronic data entry)
  • Compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations
  • Monitoring of key branch KPI's

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Customer Service Manager supervises the employees of the branch and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this operation.  Manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; OR four or five years related fleet management experience.
  • Mechanical background with formal education and/or experience required.  

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.?

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid State Driver's License
  • NY state inspection License (preferred)
  • CNG certification (preferred)
  • Class A CDL (preferred)
