AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. The Regulatory Assistant will assist and support all roles in the Regulatory Department. This role will report directly to the Regulatory Supervisor.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Error & Omission compliance of contracted agents/agencies
  • Request the errors and omissions certificates; Update CRM agent errors and omissions fields, and DMS the record with the appropriate agency
  • Review and distribute incoming circulars and bulletins with assistance from the Legal Department
  • Notify regulatory officials of contact person changes for various departmental positions
  • Administer regulatory bureau access for employees across departments.
  • Provide general clerical support services to enhance the operation of the Regulatory Department
  • Serve as a back-up and cross-train with Licensing Coordinator in the licensing process for agents and employees
  • Cross-train as back-up for processing of default base commission rate changes in Nexus
  • Process license renewals for AGAI and certain licensed employees, and file all related correspondence in AGAI’s and the employees’ files
  • Assist with appointing our licensed FL claim adjusters as needed and process the registration of GA Staff Adjusters annually 
  • Assist and support Regulatory departmental areas in maintaining compliance as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Strong organizational planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability and capability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to think through problems and explore solutions to streamline processes for efficiency
