Electrical Fabricator

Tri-City Group is currently seeking an Electrical Fabricator to work in our prefabrication shop located in Des Moines, Ia. This position is responsible for supporting all divisions within Tri-City Group, creating components, and fabricating structures for various projects. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, assemble, and weld materials with precision using basic construction math and fabrication drawings, blueprints, sketches, or other specifications
• Operate power tools/equipment, including:
  • Vertical and horizontal band saws
  • Grinders
  • Drill presses
  • Hand and portable power tools
• Meet strict production and delivery schedules for fabricated components
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with shop personnel, supervisors, and other departments
• Assist with material handling and staging; forklift operation preferred
• Adapt to changing priorities and take on a variety of fabrication tasks as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read blueprints with experience utilizing Bluebeam or Adobe - Required
• Tape measure and steel-toed boots- Required (we provide all other tools/equipment/safety gear) 
• Welding experience (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) preferred but not required
• Familiarity or experience with shop tools and fabrication equipment (Hydraulic brake/shears)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements at all times
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable
