Overview
We’re seeking a Dietetic Clark I to join our team! In this role, you’ll assist patients with meal ordering, maintain the integrity of patient diet prescriptions, and monitor & assure that all patients are receiving meals. The dietetic clerk works directly with patients & clinical staff on patient care units serving meals, maintains needed floor stock inventories, and assists patients who are unable to order their meals or have specific dietary needs. Â

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with meal selections via room service call center, ensuring courteous, accurate, and timely responsesÂ
- Apply basic diet knowledge to evaluate meal choices for compliance with dietary restrictions and medical guidelinesÂ
- Use nutrition services software to record orders, update patient counts, and support production needsÂ
- Take patient and guest meal orders, balancing customer satisfaction with hospital dietary policiesÂ
- Collaborate with Dietitians and clinical staff to support patient nutrition needs and enhance satisfactionÂ
- Assemble and transport patient meal trays, serve meals using AIDET and proper patient identifiersÂ
- Maintain pantry inventory, follow food safety practices, and assist with nourishment prep, cleaning, and dishwashingÂ
- Provide friendly, responsible customer service while supporting overall kitchen and foodservice operationsÂ
Qualifications
Education:Â Â
- High School Diploma is requiredÂ
- Some college credit or Associate’s degree in Nutrition, Hospitality or a related field is preferredÂ
Experience:Â Â
- Food service experience and/or previous customer service experience requiredÂ
- Clinical nutrition knowledge is preferredÂ
