Job Description

AsanEditorialOperationsSpecialist,youwillassistwithcontractsandcompensationfora network of independent contractors, using your strong communication and organizational skills to help manage the flow of information between staff and contractors.

AboutYourContributions:

  • Overseecontractsandtaxformsforseveral digital and print brandsanddivisions

  • Serveasthemainpointofcontactfor1099contractorcompliancetrackinginconjunction with HR and compliance teams

  • Workcloselywiththelegalteamtoprocesscontractchangesanddevelopnewcontracts under the guidance of the department manager when necessary

  • Serveasaleadforonboardingprocessesanddocumentation

  • Enterdataaccuratelytoensureasmoothsetupforfreelancerpayments

  • Process payments for freelancer invoices

  • Communicatewitheditorialteammembersandfreelancersregularlytoensureaccurate contract processing and accrual tracking

  • AccuratelyandefficientlyassessproblemssubmittedtoEditorialOperationsregarding compliance, contractsandcompensation;determineiftheproblemscanberesolvedindependently or escalate to the department manager as needed

  • Possibly uploadimagesfortitlescurrentlyworkingonintoAssets,includingaddingrequired metadata

  • CreateandtrackallReleasesassociatedwithSOW'sand/orthosespecifictopublication stories to assure that Asset rights are complete 

  • ProvidessupportforeditorsanddesignersonmagazinespublishedwithinPeople Inc. digital and print departments.

  • Performspecialprojectsand assignments as requested by editors, designers and Sr. Editorial Operations Manager

Pay Range

Hourly: Remote: $20.00 - $25.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
