HVAC Filter Service Specialist:

Join The Filter Shop as a HVAC Filter Service Specialist and play a key role in supporting our operations in Des Moines. In this role, you’ll be responsible for replacing HVAC filters in commercial and industrial systems, working both indoors and outdoors—including rooftops. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining clean air systems for our clients while upholding our high standards of safety, professionalism, and service. We’re looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to lift and move bulky items. Prior HVAC experience is a plus. ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Replace HVAC filters on commercial/industrial systems
Work both indoors and outdoors, including on rooftops
Follow all safety procedures and work independently post-training
Uphold The Filter Shop's standards of integrity and professionalism
Stay active: on your feet for up to 8 hours a day
Be able to work as a team and communicate effectively with the Service Manager
Provide valid Iowa driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Records report
Be able to lift 40lbs – ladders, boxes, equipment
Maintain accurate job records and documentation

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Valid Iowa driver’s license and clean MVR

Must pass pre-employment screening, includes 9 panel drug screen and background check for critical environments.

Previous HVAC experience is preferred but not required

We will train you to become a NAFA Certified Technician (NCT) and/or Certified Air Filtration Specialist (CAFS). Looking for a change from Apartment Maintenance or Residential HVAC Service - then check us out!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift, carry, and move bulky or heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs)
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
Ability to climb and work on ladders as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and on rooftops
Manual dexterity for handling tools and assembling products
Visual acuity for reading measurements and inspecting quality
