This 30-day assignment begins on 07/01/2025, offering 12-hour shifts covering 7p-7a, 7a-7p, or 7a-7a. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of minor ER procedures and collaborating with various specialists. This role provides emergency room coverage during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays, complementing the local family medicine physicians. Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7p-7a, 7a-7p, or 7a-7a)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment

• Perform minor ER procedures as needed

• Collaborate with various specialists including orthopedics, urology, ENT, pediatric dental, pain management, podiatry, and general surgery

• Consult with radiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, neurologists, urologists, hematologists/oncologists, psychiatrists, and sports medicine specialists as needed

• Manage and treat a diverse range of emergency cases

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the EmpowER/Epowerdoc system

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information:

• Iowa Nurse Practitioner license required

• Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
