We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Pharmacist to join our health system team. This position functions in accordance with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners and plays a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Responsibilities

- Encourages and provides constructive feedback to identify opportunities for improvement within the department
- Ensures the appropriate preparation and dispersal of medications in accordance with facility, state, and national laws and regulations
- Assures compliance with HIPAA, DNV, OSHA and other state and federal regulations guiding healthcare
- Adheres to policies and procedures of UPH-DM
- Prioritizes the importance of preventing errors, accidents, and infections within the workplace and reports potential or actual concerns immediately
Qualifications
Education:
- B.S. Pharmacy with equivalent clinical experience.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
- Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency desirable.
Experience:
- Proficiency in navigating the electronic medical record.
- One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):Â
- Iowa Pharmacist license in good standing or eligible for licensure.
- Must attain a license to practice Pharmacy in Iowa within six months of employment.
- Must be directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist until Iowa Pharmacist license is obtained.
- Must maintain current license to practice pharmacy in Iowa and be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners.
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
