REGIONAL MANAGER

Reports To: Division Vice President or Senior Vice President

 

Position Overview:

As a key member of the company’s leadership team, you will drive success in your region by delivering consistent success in sales and occupancy goals, budget development and preparation, and staff retention and development. You will be focusing on closing the gaps between regional operations and your various communities. You will also provide local community support to managers with rent increase renewals, resident application reviews, conflict resolution, and inventory management. In addition, you will execute the region’s pro-active recruiting efforts and develop strategies for team member retention, motivation and high-quality resident satisfaction.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure region metrics are meeting or exceeding budget
  • Manage inventory, marketing and advertising plans
  • Drive site and loan delinquency below Company and division benchmarks
  • Maximize occupancy and site & leased home revenue
  • Professionally resolve resident complaints and concerns
  • Looks for and acts on opportunities for improving efficiency, productivity and effectiveness with the region
  • Manage capital budget projects to ensure meeting budget and timelines
  • Provide hands-on leadership and management
  • Recruit, train, manage and develop team members Create and maintain positive community environments
  • Communicate and manage Company policies and procedures
  • Create and ensure safe work environments
  • Manage and maintain Company assets
  • Control expenses
  • Perform regional quality reviews of communities on a regular basis
  • Maintain professional behavior which does not interfere with the individual’s work, the work of another team member, or the quality of life for community residents
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Duties subject to change, as deemed appropriate by management

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent oral, written, and mature communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage staff performance
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office software products
  • Some overnight travel
  • Education and Experience:
  • College degree preferred – Business or Finance degree a plus; additional experience considered in place of degree
  • 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in institutional real estate or property management would be extremely ideal but not required
  • A valid driver’s license is required
