What You'll Do
As the Retirement Ops Specialist 3 in our Annuity Services area, you will manage the review and processing of complex electronic and scanned correspondence, ensuring adherence to established productivity and quality standards. Spearhead process optimization initiatives to enhance operational workflows, addressing complex issues and aligning outcomes with organizational goals.
- Advanced Correspondence Review & Processing: Independently review and process complex electronic and scanned, consistently meeting established productivity and quality standards. As needed, communicate both verbally and in writing with customers or professionals to resolve issues and accommodate special timing requests. Utilize in-depth knowledge of product features and transaction processing, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong proficiency across multiple skillsets. Effectively manage and resolve complex transactions with a high level of expertise.
- Proactive Analysis & Action: Analyze internal and external correspondence, developing solutions and driving decisions with minimal supervision. Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues. Mentor others by guiding them in problem-solving approaches and decision-making strategies. Communicate effectively to foster collaboration and strengthen partnerships with business partners.
- Process Optimization: Actively seek and implement process improvements. Collaborate with colleagues, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to enhance workflows and productivity. Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to team members on best practices and innovative approaches. Share customer insights to inform and refine operational processes.
- Record Maintenance and Compliance: Maintain accurate account records in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. Ensure proper documentation of all actions taken on accounts. Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Perform periodic quality checks to verify the accuracy of account records.
- Project Leadership: Take on special projects, ensuring timely completion, alignment with organizational goals, and effective resource management.

Who You Are
- 4+ years of experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Customer service and financial industry experience is preferred.Â
- High level of accuracy when reviewing, processing, and submitting documentation.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle client interactions professionally and courteously.
- Experience with identifying inefficiencies and implementing process enhancements to optimize workflows and improve productivity.
- Ability to mentor and train junior team members.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$22.93 - $36.96 / hour

- Des Moines, IA: $24.21 - $29.43 / hr
- Charlotte, NC: $25.48 - $31.13 / hr
- Chicago/Minneapolis: $28.03 - $33.55 / hr
- Los Angeles/New York City: $30.58 - $36.96 / hr
Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
