JOB SUMMARY: The Tree Stump Grinder is responsible for operating various equipment, completing related assignments with precision and efficiency, and ensuring the proper care and use of maintenance equipment.

• Operate stump grinder machine for tree care related assignments

• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

• Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and to keep job on-task, within budget and on-schedule

• Maintain work vehicle to be clean, organized, and operational condition on a daily basis

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings

• Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

• Prior experience operating a stump grinder is preferred

• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one

• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to push, pull, reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 100 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time

• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Must be dependable, punctual and have a strong work ethic

• Must be detail-oriented and have good communication skills

• Must be adaptable in a changing work environment

• Ability to read and interpret daily work orders

• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
