POSITION PURPOSEĀ

Hot and cold food production for retail sales.Ā
Sliced fruit, vegetables, desserts, meats for retail production and sales.Ā
Sets up for cafĆ© sales- stock food and paper products.Ā
ChecksĀ food temperaturesĀ frequentlyĀ throughout shift. Documents temperatures on applicable forms. Notifies SupervisorĀ immediatelyĀ of any food out of compliance.Ā
Monitors temperature of freezers, refrigeration,Ā dishwasherĀ and heating units throughout shift. Documents temperatures onĀ appropriate forms. Notifies SupervisorĀ immediatelyĀ of any food out of compliance.Ā
Maintain refrigeration units in clean orderly condition, compliant with food codes and regulatory agencies.Ā
Requisitions, transports and replenishes foods and supplies to replenish the inventory in the cafĆ©.Ā
InspectsĀ items for integrity. Rotates stock,Ā disposesĀ of outdated products or less thanĀ optimumĀ quality or correct temperature.Ā
Properly wraps, labels,Ā datesĀ food items.Ā
Portions and packages cold food items; stocks and cleans refrigerated display cases inside and out.Ā
Makes coffee,Ā juiceĀ and smoothies; replenishes and cleans beverage-dispensing machines and areas.Ā
Maintains a clean and sanitary work area, the cafĆ© serving and seating area, and equipment.Ā
PushesĀ food carts,Ā racksĀ and dish bins.Ā
May cook at the grill, fryer, or sandwich grill.Ā
Deep cleans refrigerators, counter tops and cupboards, tile, and entire cafĆ© serving and seating areas including microwaves, tables,Ā chairsĀ and tray return. Cleans andĀ sanitizesĀ utensils and equipment.Ā
Maintains signage daily.Ā
UsesĀ standardized and non-standardized recipes and ingredients to prepare, create, and process foods.Ā
AssistsĀ in other areas as requested.Ā
Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.Ā

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSĀ

High school diploma or GED preferred.Ā
Knowledge of several subjectsĀ in order toĀ prepare reports, performĀ calculationsĀ and/or deal effectively with other people. Ability to read and write.Ā
