Practice Setting

• Two locations; hospitals and surgical centers
• 28 operating rooms across the system
• Level II trauma designation
• Work alongside CRNAs, anesthesia techs, and 45 anesthesiologists

Schedule

• Mix of 8, 10, 12, and 24-hour shifts
• Call is in-house or 30-minute beeper response
• Weekend shifts may be part of the rotation
• Flexible coverage-minimum one week per month

Procedures and Cases

• Wide-ranging case mix including general surgery, ortho, urology, robotics, cardiac, and pediatrics
• OB anesthesia as needed
• Proficiency in regional blocks, spinals, and epidurals required
• TEE certification and pediatric fellowship preferred for specialized cases

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Active Iowa license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
