LSSI is hiring a part-time Property Manager, 3 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Responsible for managing the daily operations of a senior apartment building serving older adults and/or disable persons, who meet the residency requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban development.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain maximum occupancy.
  • Provide for the maintenance of the physical facility and grounds to ensure safety, security, and sanitation.
  • Responsible for rent collection, certification and following policies and procedures established by HUD and LSSI.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and submission of necessary reports.
  • Work with residents, families, and the community.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with five (5) years of management/supervisory experience required.
  • Or an associate’s degree with one (1) to two (2) years of management/supervisory experience required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Leasing License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire required.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist Designation (COS) or willingness to obtain within two (2) years of hire required.
  • Minimum number of years management/supervisory experience is dependent on education level.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks while maintaining appropriate work pace.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
