Summary: HarborWalk Village offers waterfront shopping, boat, pontoon and jet ski rentals, world class fishing, aqua adventures, dolphin cruises, clubs and nightlife, weekly fireworks, seasonal festivals, live entertainment, and a variety of restaurants.
Job Summary:
 The Assistant Retail Manager supports the overall daily operations of the retail store by ensuring exceptional guest experience, maintaining strong merchandising standards, and assisting with inventory and retail systems management. This role works closely with the Retail Director to drive sales, maintain operational efficiency, and uphold brand standards.
Compensation: $22.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Sales
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming shopping environmentÂ
- Assist guests with product selection, inquiries, and issue resolutionÂ
- Support sales goals by promoting products and upselling when appropriateÂ
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessaryÂ
Merchandising & Visual Standards
- Execute merchandising plans to ensure the store is visually appealing and organizedÂ
- Maintain product displays according to company standardsÂ
- Assist in floor moves, seasonal resets, and promotional setupsÂ
- Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and replenish as neededÂ
Inventory Management
- Assist with inventory control processes, including receiving, counting, and restockingÂ
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle countsÂ
- Help minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory recordsÂ
- Coordinate with management on stock needs and reorder planningÂ
Retail Systems & Operations
- Operate retail management systems, including entering new merchandise and updating product informationÂ
- Ensure accurate pricing, SKU setup, and inventory tracking in the systemÂ
- Support point-of-sale (POS) operations and troubleshoot basic system issuesÂ
- Maintain organized and accurate back-of-house operationsÂ
Reporting & Administration
- Assist in preparing sales, inventory, and performance reportsÂ
- Track key metrics and provide insights to support decision-makingÂ
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keepingÂ
- Communicate regularly with the Retail Director regarding store performance and operational updatesÂ
Team Support & Leadership
- Support training and onboarding of retail staffÂ
- Provide guidance and leadership during shifts in the absence of the Retail DirectorÂ
- Help maintain a positive, productive team environment
Qualifications:
- Previous retail experience required; supervisory experience preferredÂ
- Strong customer service and communication skillsÂ
- Experience with retail systems and inventory managementÂ
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsÂ
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Retail merchandising and product presentation skills
- Experience in apparel, gift, or beach/outdoor retail preferred

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ buying/merchandising experience preferred with direct leadership responsibilities

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily office/store-based at the marina; however, it may require occasional outdoor work to greet customers at the dock or assist with boat preparation.
