Summary: Maintenance Technicians are primarily responsible for preventative, on-demand, and repair related maintenance of amusement attractions, go-karts, and facility needs. Maintenance Technicians actively participate in daily preventative and reactionary maintenance activities on-park as assigned to ensure safe amusement operation. Members of the Maintenance team are also responsible for groundskeeping and landscaping throughout the location.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and other periodic preventative maintenance on amusement rides, go-karts, and facilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair related issues independently; to include electrical mechanical, facilities, etc.
- Make reactionary repairs on park in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain grounds to include: lawns, flowerbeds, all on-site vegetation, irrigation, and related functions
- Independent time management to remain on task without immediate supervision
- Level Distinctions:
- Maintenance Team Members are assigned designation as a Maintenance Technician I or II based on skillset, experience, and expertise.
- Maintenance Technician I: Skillset includes basic preventative and diagnostic maintenance tasks as designated in Maintenance Technician Development; Some team members may be designated internally as primarily Landscaping or Mechanical Maintenance to indicate their area of expertise or primary focus
- Maintenance Technician II: Minimum 1 Year experience; requires extensive knowledge of attraction, kart, and facilities as defined in Maintenance Technician Development and successful independence maintenance operation proficiency
- Maintenance Team Members are assigned designation as a Maintenance Technician I or II based on skillset, experience, and expertise.
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed
Required Skills:
- Experience with computers and smart devices
- Experience in mechanical and electrical repair
- Excellent communication, time-management, planning, and organizational skills
- Competent mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work with prolonged periods of walking, kneeling, squatting, bending at waist, and standing
- Ability to safely lift, push, and pull objects up to 80lbs with or without assistance
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including direct sunlight, varying temperatures, and rain
Schedule Requirements:
Typically 36-40 hours per week; Overtime opportunities may be present during specific seasons; Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
