How you'll make an impact in this role

Facilitates the safe and efficient execution of surgical procedures by proactively handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assisting with essential tasks such as maintaining hemostasis.
Expertly prepares the operating suite by organizing sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies tailored to the specific requirements of each surgical case.
Assists in the safe preparation, transportation, and positioning of patients, ensuring proper draping to maintain a sterile field and prioritize patient safety.
Maintains a meticulously organized surgical field while strictly monitoring and tracking instrument, sponge, and needle counts throughout the procedure to prevent retained objects.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
