The Technician Helper assists senior technicians in various tasks, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations. This role involves supporting the technical team by preparing tools, materials, and workspaces, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. The Technician Helper also performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the technical operations. This position requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.Â

Responsibilities:Â
- Follows all company safety and quality procedures Â
- Certified to operate ForkliftÂ
- Cleaning, blasting, and painting valve componentsÂ
- Return Valves/Parts to Proper Bins, Boxes, etc.Â
- Operate equipment (overhead hoist, blaster, parts washer, torch, etc.)Â
- May be required to disassemble valve without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation ManualÂ
- May be required to document and enter job data into applicable database and document photosÂ
- Maintain a clean and organized work areaÂ
- Maintain equipment in area, as requiredÂ
- May be required to help in field assignmentsÂ
- May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scopeÂ
- May be required operate motor vehicleÂ
- Attend job and safety training, as necessary or requiredÂ

Positional Requirements & Qualifications:Â
Education & ExperienceÂ
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)Â
- Current or up-to-date TWIC (preferred)Â
- Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred)Â
- Job specific degree and/or certification (preferred)Â
Skills & AbilitiesÂ
- Safety and quality-mindedÂ
- Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledgeÂ
- Basic computer knowledgeÂ
- Organized and detail-orientedÂ
- Demonstrate effective time management skillsÂ
- Â Ability to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesÂ
- Must clear background check and drug/alcohol screeningÂ

Essential Physical Functions:Â
- Lifting: up to 50 poundsÂ
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions Â
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetÂ
- Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairsÂ
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps Â
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Â
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Â
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Â
- Communicating with others to exchange information Â
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Â
- Operating machinery and/or power tools Â
- Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment Â
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedÂ
- Required physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsÂ
- Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)Â
- Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.Â
