This position is responsible for operating planer and boring mills to machine parts of varying shapes and finishes for industrial applications. The operator interprets drawings, paperwork, and prints to properly set up and machine components, ensuring required tolerances, consistent quality, and compliance with safety standards. Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are essential for identifying and resolving machining issues and meeting customer requirements.

**This is a second shift role**

Major Accountabilities:

Set up and operate planer and boring mills to machine rough parts
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Accurately document production output, machine maintenance, and quality inspection
records
Safely operate overhead cranes and lift trucks as required
Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Education:	High school diploma or GED is required preferred.
Languages:	Fluent in English, oral & written Any other language is a plus
Experiences & Skills:	Experience with Milling machines (Horizontal and Vertical). Knowledge of Speed and Feeds Reading drawings and prints Basic knowledge of metallurgy and steel properties. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Experience with ISO systems Steel industry experience a plus
