Job DetailsJob Location: 301 E GRIXDALE - DETROIT, MI 48203Job Summary: The Utility Technician will provide general support across manufacturing operations, facility maintenance, and production activities.  Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Assists with preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. Supports production teams by preparing materials, moving parts, and staging tools or equipment. Performs general facility upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and basic repair work. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment to move supplies and products (with training/certification). Assists with setup and breakdown of equipment, workstations, and project areas. Monitors and replenishes supplies, tools, and consumables to support production needs. Responds to general maintenance requests, ensuring safe and timely resolution. Follows safety procedures, company policies, and compliance requirements (including ITAR/AS9100). Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace organization, efficiency, and reliability. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and facility systems. Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment (forklift certification a plus). Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to assist multiple teams. Good communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in a defense manufacturing environment. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred. 1–3 years of experience in a utility, maintenance, or general labor role (manufacturing or defense industry experience preferred). Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and moving heavier items with assistance.  Qualifications
