Michigan engineering firm specializing in athletic and recreational facilities projects is hiring a Civil Engineer for their office in the Detroit area!
Responsibilities:
- Ability to grow in organization with project management/design responsibilities
- Work on projects from planning/design through completion
- Prepare project plan documents/reports
- As part of the design team, plan, schedule and coordinate technical aspect of projects
- Communicate/resolve technical issues
- Present/explain designs
- Review/respond to construction RFIs and submittals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture
- 3+ years of experience
- Project Management experience preferred
- Sports/recreation design experience (including Athletic Fields) preferred
- Strong knowledge of site grading concepts
- Knowledge/interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards and all areas of design/design methods
- Experience with schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Proficient in relevant drafting/design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat
Salary is commensurate with experience.
