Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Commissary Warehouse Porters to join our team at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. As a Warehouse Porter you will deliver food, beverage, and other products throughout the venue in an efficient and timely manner.

Unit Description

Delaware North operates concessions, premium dining, and retail services at the 41,297-seat Comerica Park, home of the MLB's Detroit Tigers. Delaware North has been a partner of the Tigers since 1930. Our chefs create a unique dining experience at the exclusive Tiger Club that offers a full view of the field. An extensive menu with an emphasis on Detroit-inspired fare is created for every game.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver food, beverages, and other products throughout the venue using push carts and pallet jacks 
  • Assist with maintaining inventory
  • Ensure proper food documentation when receiving and storing food products
  • Gather and sort orders to be sent for delivery 
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas
  • Report all needed repairs to your supervisor

Qualifications

  • No prior experience is required
  • Basic math skills for counting inventory
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pull heavy carts of stock throughout the facility
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching during the entire length of the shift
  • Exposure to varying outdoor temperatures depending on the season
