Job Title: Custodial Maintenance Worker

Department: Focus: HOPE Executive

Reports To: Custodial Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

General Statement of Duties:

Responsible for the cleanliness of building, offices and lavatories. Work involves routine manual operations with frequent instructing and checking by the supervisor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean floors, walls, furniture, windows, lights and vacuum carpet.
Strip and wax floors, shampoo carpet.
Clean lavatories.
Remove trash and keep trash area clean.
Maintain inventory of assigned custodial supplies.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Supervision Received:

Perform duties under the supervision of the Custodial Maintenance Supervisor

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

Strong commitment to civil and human rights.
Knowledge of janitorial/cleaning practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to work in a standing position as required.
Dexterity.
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Oral and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up 50 pounds at times.

Education, Training and Experience:

High School diploma or its equivalent training and/or experience.
