Job DetailsJob Location: 201 bldg - Detroit, MI 48203Salary Range: $45,000.00 Salary/yearThe WIC Customer Service Representative (CSR) will work closely with the WIC Clinic lead team to provide WIC certification services to caregivers, woman, infants and children. Customer Service Representatives will provide a high level of customer service when working with clients whether in person or via email or phone. Duties: Provide call center duties, scheduling WIC appointments and transferring calls to appropriate staff Represent the agency in a professional manner out in the community. Perform anthropometric and hemoglobin testing on clients. Must be able to work as a team and maintain a cooperative environment. Ability to interact with diverse populations. Provide culturally competent customer service to WIC clients Will provide a high level of customer service to clients onsite, phone and email communication Position may include services in more than one location. Answer phone calls, respond to voicemail, return phone calls promptly and schedule appointments Check in clients in the MI WIC system in a timely and friendly manner Complete the certification of clients in compliance with the criteria set by the State of Michigan WIC Program Maintain up-to-date client electronic charts - run reports from various software programs Make appropriate client referrals to ancillary health care providers and social services and document in MI WIC Must comply with HIPAA guidelines when working with WIC clients Review nutrition education materials regularly to reinforce messaging clients receive during their appointments Complete individual nutrition education with clients at necessary appointments staying within scope of training. Excellent telephone etiquette, ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds. Comfortable working with diverse patient populations Must speak fluently in English and Arabic/Chaldean. Must have reliable transportation. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Ability to provide coverage to all ACC-WIC designated locations as needed Good written and verbal communication skills during client intake to provide an engaging client experience.
