Your Mission:
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Global Resource Center through meeting and event support, facilities maintenance, minor building repairs, painting, and workplace services. This role ensures meeting spaces, common areas, and building systems are functional, professional, and ready to support business operations. The Facilities Technician partners closely with the Building Engineer, Property Manager, and Hospitality teams to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for employees and guests.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Set up, reconfigure, and tear down conference rooms, training rooms, and event spaces according to meeting and event requirements.
Conduct pre-event and post-event room inspections to ensure spaces are functional, organized, and presentation-ready.
Support event logistics, room turns, last-minute setup requests, and after-hours or weekend events as required.
Perform routine facility inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Complete minor building repairs including painting, wall patching, ceiling tile replacement, furniture repairs, hardware adjustments, and general maintenance tasks.
Assist with office moves, furniture installations, workspace reconfigurations, seasonal work, and building improvement projects.
Work closely with the Building Engineer on preventive maintenance activities, special projects, vendor coordination, and facility-related initiatives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate maintenance, safety, and operational concerns as appropriate.
Maintain workplace support areas including cafes, pantries, beverage stations, training rooms, common areas, and shared spaces.
Respond to lockouts, service requests, and facility-related issues, while providing professional support to employees, visitors, and building occupants.
Perform routine building walkthroughs to proactively identify facility needs and complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
Who You Are:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, and heavy lifting.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends as business needs require.
Demonstrated customer service, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, repair practices, hand tools, and safe work procedures.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, commercial property management, hospitality facilities, or a related field.
Experience performing minor building repairs, painting, and general maintenance work.
Experience supporting meetings, conferences, corporate events, or conference center operations.
Working knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices.
