Description

Detroit Golf Club is a premier private club in Detroit, MI. Richly embedded in the history of Detroit, DGC aims to uphold its heritage of the city with our contributions to the game of golf and robust and diverse membership. The historical Albert Kahn clubhouse sits along two Donald Ross-designed 18-hole courses. The club cultivates a welcoming atmosphere and garners a sense of camaraderie for members and employees alike. Along with an active environment, Detroit Golf Club hosts, The Rocket Classic PGA tournament through 2027. 


We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Grounds Staff at the Detroit Golf Club for the upcoming golf season. As a member of the grounds crew, you will play a key role in maintaining the beauty and playability of the golf course for our members and guests.

Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Mowing, rolling, and string trimming
  • Raking and maintaining sand traps
  • Operating small equipment
  • Assisting with course setup and special projects
  • Keeping the grounds clean and presentable
  • Loads and unloads materials
  • Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds
  • Repairs and maintains driving range tees
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
